His wife is descended from the Frederick Bartletts of Chicago who owned that big mansion in Fort Lauderdale at Sunrise and AIA. Unless they're divorcing, they've got some cash.

He hasn't been "cute" for 25 years

That's actually a beautiful house and at 6 million it doesn't seem like a bad deal.

Ever since she walked in on him and the pool boy- she hasn't been able to set foot there.

That's just their beach house, for weekends. The family actually lives at their equally expensive apartment in NYC. And I suppose George has a bachelor pad in Wash DC to camp at while doing his Sunday morning TV show. Exhausting indeed!

My one gripe about these kinds of photos is they never show you the basement.

No one needs that much house, but if you entertain a lot and can afford it, why not? House managers take care of all of the work anyway.

It's a nice house, but realistically with his work how often is he able to be there for more than a night if even?

r20 still not as bad as Mika and Joe vacationing together secretly outside of NYC but pretending to be in different studios/countries forcing MSNBC to send two separate crews to handle their segments even though they were in the same building, feet away from each other. He would take the traditional background, Mika would get a random one. MSNBC finally put a stop to that nonsense and they went "public" with their relationship.

Just cause her ancestors had money does not mean she has it.

I worked with George eons ago when he was the LD for a congressman and I was a lobbyist. He was very nice and helpful.

I think she grew up with money. George has said she has a habit of buying things without knowing how much they are. You don't acquire that habit when you have to worry about $.
