Kelly Ripa is an American talk show host and actress with an estimated net worth of $100 million. She was born on October 2, 1970 in Stratford, New Jersey. Her mother, Esther, is a homemaker and her father, Joe, is a labor union president and a bus driver. She grew up with her sister, Linda, who is a sister and was also in a terrible car accident many years ago at the hands of a drunk driver. Kelly Ripa is the only person in her family to ever enter the acting business, and it’s something she wanted to do for a long time. She’s been in the business of learning to sing, dance and act since she was only three.
She was a cheerleader in high school, and her teachers often encouraged her to seek an acting career in the drama department. She decided she would, and the acting bug bit hard. In the mid-80s, she found some minor success in hosting minor television shows and in doing local television in her New Jersey hometown. Her big break came when she was cast as the very crazy Hayley Vaughn on the very popular soap opera “All My Children,” in 1990. She had no idea at the time that she would become one of the most famous faces in the business, and that this one role would change her life forever.
She worked for 12 years in this role, leaving in 2002 and returning for a guest spot in 2012 to celebrate 40 years of the show. While she was in this role, she was introduced to another actor by the name of Mark Conseulos. She met him in 1995 as they were introduced to one another as a potential love interest on their show. Their spark was immediate and the two were married less than a year later in 1996 when they made the decision to leave on a plane to Las Vegas one night and get married. It was just over a year later that the couple welcomed their oldest son, Michael. They welcomed their first and only daughter, Lola, in 2001 and their final child, Joaquin, in 2003.
Kelly Ripa’s life changed once again in 2000 when she was invited to co-host “Live with Regis and Kathie Lee” as a potential new host for the show as Kathie Lee was leaving. The fans loved her, Regis loved her and they all made such a great team that she was hired. Kelly Ripa left the soap world two years later and she took on a primetime role as an unemployed actress on the hit series “Hope and Faith” in 2003. When she was being seriously considered for the position of co-host alongside Regis Philbin, Kelly Ripa happened to host the show on a day that a psychic was present. The psychic told her that she was pregnant and she was visibly flustered, announcing she hadn’t told anyone yet. She was hired. Now she earns $20 million per year working on the show, and she also has her own production company with her husband.
