Just a few days ago, gold-medalist Simone Biles received a special surprise from her celebrity crush, Zac Efron. Now, it’s “Final Five” member, Laurie Hernandez’s turn to get surprised by her favorite celebrity!
On Saturday evening, Laurie appeared on Ryan Seacrest’s Olympic late-night show and talked about her love of the singing competition, The Voice.
The 16-year-old revealed that her favorite coach on the show is Adam Levine, and she admires how he “keeps winning.”
According to EOnline, Ryan said, “A lot has been made of your fanship and the team’s fanship of Zac Efron. He has had his moment.” He then turned Laurie’s attention to a screen nearby, revealing a special video message from Adam Levine himself.
“What’s up, Laurie? This is Adam Levine. Just wanted to say hello. Congratulations, you’re kicking butt out there and we’ve been watching you from the states. Excellent work.”
Ryan then pulled out his phone and recorded Laurie replying to Adam’s message. She thanked Adam for the video and also expressed her love for The Voice.
You can watch the video on the NBC Olympics website.
In her Olympic debut, Laurie Hernandez earned two medals at the 2016 Rio Games. She won gold for Women’s Team All-Around, and silver for Women’s Beam.
