This weekend, Avengers: Endgame star Scarlett Johansson hosted Saturday Night Live for the sixth time, but it was her first since getting engaged to SNL star Colin Jost. And, during her monologue, Johansson and Jost shared a sweet moment when she called him the love of her life, and the couple kissed numerous times at the beginning and end of the show.

“It’s so great to be back hosting SNL for the sixth time,” said Johansson. “The sixth time is even more exciting than the fifth because you’re not worried anymore. The show is bad, what are they gonna do, fire my fiancé? Oh no, what will we do without his paycheck?”

As the monologue went on, half of the cast began turning into dust. And, Johansson figured it had to be the work of Thanos. When the 35-year-old actress discovered that Jost’s “Weekend Update” co-host Michael Che was a survivor, she was thrilled. But, when she realized Jost also survived when he walked up on stage, she wasn’t as excited.

“I thought you’d be more relieved to see me,” said Jost, with Johansson calmly replying, “I am. It’s great.”

“Doesn’t feel great,” said Jost.

Johansson said that she was focused on Thanos, and she eventually discovered along with Nick Fury (played by Keenan Thompson) that it was Pete Davidson who had the Infinity Gauntlet. Eventually, he snapped the cast back to life. And when everyone assembled on stage, Johansson ran to Jost to give him a hug and kiss.

“It’s great to have you all back,” Johansson said. “I just want to say that this place means so much to me. I have so many friends here and I met the love of my life here. Merry Christmas.”

At the end of the show, the couple shared even more kisses as the credits rolled.

Johansson and Jost got engaged in May after dating for two years. Fans got the chance to see her 11-carat diamond engagement ring at San Diego Comic-Con in July. During a recent appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Johansson revealed that Jost “killed it” when he proposed with “a whole James Bond situation.”

“It was very personal. It was a special moment,” explained Johansson. “I think, more than anything, when someone tells you they want to spend their life with you, that’s a lovely, special thing.”
