You may not recognize “Saturday Night Live” cast member Fred Armisen in his street clothes. You probably know him better as Barack Obama, Barney Frank or one of the other characters he so skillfully plays on the show. Fred and his fiancee, Elizabeth Moss, who plays ambitious secretary Peggy Olson on the hit show “Mad Men,” are planning a “fun, cool wedding” according to Us Weekly.
SNL’s Fred Armisen and Mad Men’s Elisabeth Moss are keeping details on their upcoming wedding secret.
“But we are very much looking forward to it,” Moss told reporters at Sunday’s Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles.
Added Armisen, “It will be the coolest and funniest [of] weddings.”
Asked what she loves most about her man, Moss said, “That’s an incredible, hard question.”
“That’s too much for words,” Armisen said. “I couldn’t do that justice because the words wouldn’t be right. ”
Next up for the two: Valentine’s Day.
“I forgot that was coming,” Moss admitted. “We’re both going to be working. We’ll figure something out.”
She doesn’t need a gift, she said.
Pointing to her engagement ring, she told reporters: “I just got this!”
They seem like a fun, if unlikely couple. I hope this “fun, cool wedding” doesn’t involved Scientology – Elizabeth is reportedly a member of the COS. Congrats to them on their pending wedding and on their continued career success. I hope this doesn’t mean we will see an end to SNL’s parodies of “Mad Men.”
