The interview that Teresa Giudice and her husband, Joe Giudice, sat down for with Andy Cohen won’t air until 9 pm EST tonight on Watch What Happens Live, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have a little bit of inside information as to what the Real Housewife had to say. The New Jersey housewife hasn’t spoken publicly since she and her husband were sentenced to prison for fraud on Thursday, but she did sit down with her husband and Bravo’s Andy Cohen to talk about the shocking news.
It did not shock anyone when Joe Giudice was sentenced to 41 months in jail, but it was a shock when Teresa, who expected to get probation, was sentenced to 15 months in prison as a way of being made an example of after the judge in her case felt she wasn’t remorseful or sorry for her actions.
One of the things that the mother of four discusses in the interview is her four daughters.
“She was being strong for me, I could tell,” said Teresa about her 13-year-old daughter, Gia. “She said the one person she was worried about was me. She said, ‘Mommy, don’t worry about it. I’ll be there. I’ll help Daddy with the girls. That will…prepare me for when I’m a mom.’ Oh my God, my heart broke when she said that,” the real housewife said as she breaks down on television.
“My husband is a great father, great husband, but I do everything with my daughters. I drive them everywhere. I’m old school. I said to my husband, ‘All you have to do is please take care of our daughters. That’s all I ask. You have to do what I do,” she says of the 15 months her husband will spend caring for their daughters while she is in prison. Tune in tonight to Bravo to see the full interview.
